SBI Recruitment: 1500 Probationary Officers

State Bank of India Recruitment Department has announced the recruitment of 1500 Probationary Officers for which a written test will be conducted on 28th April 2013.

Important Dates:

  • Online Registration: January 30, 2013 to February 23, 2013
  • Online Payment of Fees: January 30, 2013 to February 23, 2013
  • Offline Payment of Fees: February 1, 2013 to February 28, 2013
  • PO Written Examination: April 28, 2013

Eligibility as on 1-1-2013:

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
  • Not below 21 years and not above 30 years i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02-01-1983 and not later than 01-01-1992 (both days inclusive)
  • There will be relaxation in the Upper Age Limit to Reserved category candidates as per prescribed norms.

Selection process:
Phase 1 – Written Exam (250 Marks) consists of Objective and Descriptive Tests

  • Objective Test (200  Marks) - 2 hours with 4 sections with 50 marks each
    • Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
    • Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers
    • Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation
    • Test of Reasoning (High Level)
  • Descriptive Test (50 Marks) - 1 hour consisting of Test of English (comprehension, short prĂ©cis, letter writing & essay

Phase 2 – Group Discussion (20 Marks) and Interview (30 Marks)
After selection from merit list of Phase 1, students will be called for Group Discussion and Interview.
