Indian Institute of Technology - Top Engineering Institutes in India

Indian Institutes of Technology are the top ranked institutions for engineering studies in India for graduation and post graduation courses.

IITs offer B. Tech., B. Arch, M. Tech, MBA, M. Design, M.Sc., M. Phil., and Ph.D. Degrees. Admission to these programs is through various entrance exams such as JEE-Main, JEE-Advanced, GATE, CEED, CAT, JAM exams.

Note:

Indian School of Mines (ISM) – Dhanbad , Jharkhand is in process of being converted into an IIT.
The Government of India in Budget July 2014 has proposed to set up five new IITs in Jammu and Kashmir, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
