National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI)

National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI) is India’s first railway university located in Vadodara, Gujarat. This institute is located in the National Academy of Indian Railway (NAIR). In May 2018, NRTI was given Deemed to be University status by University Grants Commission.

NRTI offers three-year full-time residential undergraduate programs:

BBA Transportation Management

This is a specialized programme focused on management practices in the context of the transportation sector. The curriculum is designed to introduce young minds to develop new ideas, innovative concepts, refined skills and in-depth knowledge to question, evaluate, invent and redefine surface transport ecosystems in India and the world.

BSc Transportation Technology

Meant to prepare a cadre of transportation technologists and specialists, this program focusses on technology and its application in the field of transportation. It is designed to orient young minds to finding technology solutions through the application of new ideas, knowledge and skills and play a crucial role in India’s rapid march to intelligent transport systems of the future.

Eligibility for admission:

BSc in Transportation Technology is open to Science Stream Students (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)
BBA in Transportation Management is open to students from all Streams (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)
Applicants must have successfully completed their 10+2 Board examination with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC/SC/ST) and be below the age of 25 years
Students have to take the NRTI Undergraduate Admission Aptitude Test for admission to BSc in Transportation Technology and BBA in Transportation Management.
